"There is no equality of treatment merely by providing students with the same facilities, textbooks, teachers, and curriculum; for students who do not understand English are effectively foreclosed from any meaningful education."(Justice William O. Douglas, United States Supreme Court, 1974) |
We provide experienced support for schools and districts that have received an Office for Civil Rights complaint in the area of second language and ELL education, or have been cited for discrimination against English language learners or their parents.
At Multi-Language Kids, we work with you to move toward resolution, expertly drafting and presenting your OCR Corrective Action Agreement in a timely manner.
This might include ELL program design and implementation, plans for improving parental communication, strategies for teaching English language learners or suggestions for your instructional program for English Learners.
It may include aspects of the special education referral process that need to be revamped to include pre-referral strategies.
This helps to optimize educational outcomes as well as serves to reduce the amount of funding possibly used needlessly on special education when other forms of support are indicated.
To begin the process, we first need a little bit of information. After you fill out the form below, an M-LK representative will get back to you within 24-48 hours and explain the next steps. Please note that there is no charge involved in filling out this form, and by doing so, you are not entering into any type of contract or agreement with Multi-Language Kids.
